Vote-by-Mail Ballots Go Out This Week for Local Elections

Los Angeles County voters from different corners will head to the polls in November to weigh in on a handful of critical local measures - and vote-by-mail ballots will begin to arrive this week.

Inglewood voters will weigh two ballot measures that would increase the city’s real estate sales tax and hotel bed tax. Alhambra has a ballot measure that would strike all mentions of the local school district from the city charter. And Commerce has a ballot measure that, if it passes, would enact a parcel tax on industrial properties.

There is also one city election in Carson.

Ballot measures

Alhambra: Measure G would remove all references to the Alhambra Unified School District from the city charter so that district’s Board of Education elections will comply with state education and election law.
