"South Pasadena Offers Free Pickup Service for Large Items to Senior Citizens"

The City of South Pasadena is offering a special service called "Senior Citizen Dumpster Day" for residents aged 62 and over. From April 10-14, 2023, seniors can have large furniture or bulky items picked up from their homes for free on the same day as their regular rubbish pick up. However, hazardous waste such as televisions, computers, and electronics will not be accepted.

To make a reservation, seniors must contact the South Pasadena Senior Center at (626) 403-7360 starting on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. Reservations will be accepted until Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. It's important to note that this service is only available for seniors and is not open to all residents.

For all other residents, a drive-thru service will be available on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Arroyo Drive, located south on Mission Street.
