The National Weather Service in Oxnard has issued a Winter Storm Warning, which is effective from 7 PM on Tuesday until 4 PM on Saturday. This warning is in place for the Ventura County Mountains and Los Angeles County Mountains.
During this time, the region can expect to experience strong winds, with gusts of up to 75 mph. There will also be periods of snow, with the snow level falling to 1500 to 2000 feet by Wednesday morning. Snow accumulations are forecasted to be between 1 to 5 inches through Wednesday, followed by fluctuating snow levels and heavier snowfall into the weekend. It is possible that there could be multiple feet of snow above 4000 feet, and significant snowfall across the major mountain passes.
