Once upon a time, there was a man named Tom who loved to play practical jokes. He was always looking for a way to make his friends laugh or to pull a harmless prank on someone.
One day, Tom decided to play a trick on his best friend, John. He went to a novelty shop and bought a fake spider that looked incredibly realistic. Tom then hid the spider in John's desk drawer, knowing that he would be in for a good scare.
The next day, John went to his desk to grab a pen and opened the drawer - and immediately let out a blood-curdling scream. Tom had forgotten that John had a severe fear of spiders, and the sight of the fake one had sent him into a panic.
Feeling guilty, Tom tried to apologize to John and explain that it was just a joke. But John was so angry that he refused to speak to Tom for days.
Determined to make things right, Tom came up with a plan. He bought a dozen cupcakes from a bakery and asked the baker to write "I'm sorry" in frosting on each one. Tom then left the cupcakes on John's doorstep with a note explaining how sorry he was for scaring him.
When John found the cupcakes, his heart melted. He couldn't resist the sweet treats, and the message of apology was enough to make him forgive Tom. From that day on, Tom promised to think twice before playing a prank on his best friend.
The story is a lighthearted tale that shows how even the best-intentioned pranks can sometimes go wrong. It also highlights the power of a sincere apology and the importance of making amends when you've made a mistake.
