South Pasadena Police Arrest 2 Catalytic Converter Theft Suspects

On December 4, 2021, at 6:02 a.m., a South Pasadena police officer assigned to a burglary suppression detail contacted two males in a suspicious vehicle parked in the 800 block of Meridian Avenue. 

As one of the males exited the vehicle, he dropped an item of evidentiary value on the ground. Further investigation revealed that both suspects were in possession of tools used in the thefts of catalytic converters. A search of the suspect's vehicle also yielded narcotics

The suspects, Marcelo Ramirez 30-years-old and Victor Trujillo-Cruz, 28-years-old, both of Los Angeles, were arrested for possession of burglary tools and possession of narcotics. They were both booked at Alhambra City Jail pending arraignment.
