ROSEMEAD, CA (February 17, 2022) – Sunday morning, a man was killed and Moises Rivera Luna was arrested after a DUI collision on 10 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at about 3:40 a.m., just west of Walnut Grove Avenue.
Per reports, a man was standing near his disabled vehicle in the No. 3 lane when a 2016 Ford Mustang, driven by Luna, struck him. The vehicle also traveled directly into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced the man who was standing outside of his vehicle dead at the scene.
Paramedics transported Luna to a local hospital with minor injuries. Authorities later arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving.
Medical personnel transported Luna’s passenger, a 48-year-old man, to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center with moderate injuries.
